Introduction
Our team in Singapore has successfully completed a turn-key project for MUFG Bank, Japan's largest bank and one of the world's largest financial institutions. The project’s objective was to redefine workspaces by enhancing collaboration, connectivity, and productivity.
The project
The successful project involved ÌÇÐÄÔ´´vlog's expertise in delivering agile, connected, and highly ergonomic workspaces. The bank's office space at Marina One Tower East in Singapore was refurbished across three levels, along with the Changi One City location. ÌÇÐÄÔ´´vlog's scope of work included interior fit-out, MEP works, IT installations, security systems, and AV systems.
The new work environment emphasizes inclusivity, covering an area of 110,000 sq.ft. It offers a combination of workspace and common areas. The aim was to create a collaborative and informal setting where employees can work comfortably. As part of the project, a modular breakout space for employees, complete with essential kitchen facilities.
The project incorporates state-of-the-art meeting facilities equipped with smart technology. The boardroom and meeting rooms feature proprietary smart TV and interactive board equipment, enabling seamless online and offline interactions in virtual and hybrid meetings.
Special features
An outstanding feature of the project is the front-of-house and reception area, crucial for providing an elevated customer experience. The installation of a living green wall, functioning as a natural air-filter, enhances the environment and promotes well-being. The design also incorporates accent colors, contemporary details to meet the client's aesthetic expectations.
Overcoming challenges
The project faced various challenges due to operating in a live environment within a multi-tenant occupied building, including the installation of the staircase. ÌÇÐÄÔ´´vlog had to carefully coordinate their work to minimize disruption for neighboring tenants, including banks, retail spaces, and law firms. Nightshifts, early starts, and late evenings on weekends were necessary to ensure minimal impact. Access control in a grade A building posed its own set of challenges, requiring meticulous planning and approval from the building's management.
Despite the challenges, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´vlog successfully coordinated with multiple stakeholders and completed the project within a short construction period of 26 weeks. Throughout the program, various mock-ups were prepared, and necessary changes were made to align with the client's expectations and specifications.
