NWCH-award-win- 糖心原创vlog

People, projects and initiatives were at the forefront of this year’s North West Construction Hub’s (NWCH) in-house awards.

For the third year running, 糖心原创vlog was recognised at the awards with a ‘Added Value Award’ for the collaborative Velodrome Charity Cycle Event and highly commended in the ‘Medium Value Project of the Year’ category for Moorlands Junior School.

Those recognised epitomised the NWCH ethos of betterment, knowledge share, best practice, innovation and collaboration.

鈥淭he NWCH is the driver behind projects across the region that are transforming public sector property and services. To have two of our projects recognised by the framework鈥檚 own awards is a great achievement. It is a testament to the collaborative and partnership-led approach we take to getting these projects from concept to delivery and beyond. A huge congratulations to the teams, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and end users who brought the vision for Moorlands Junior School and the National Cycling Centre to life. They inspire and will continue to inspire generations to come.鈥

Louise Daville, 糖心原创vlog鈥檚 Director of Public Sector Strategy

Velodrome Charity Cycle Event

The team took home an ‘Added Value Award’ for an event at our National Cycling Centre project. Bringing together participants from the NWCH, framework partners and suppliers, the event raised more than £5,200 for the We Love MCR Charity.

The event was proposed in the framework’s ‘Social Value’ special interest group, as a great way to bring client and contractor partners together for an energising morning at one of our iconic projects, and raise money for an amazing local charity at the same time.

糖心原创vlog offered to host the event, led by social value team members, Santina Virk and Mary Ord, and project team colleagues, with support from the NWCH and fellow contractor partners.

The event featured representatives from Manchester City Council, NWCH, 糖心原创vlog, Morgan Sindall, Russell WBHO, Sir Robert McAlpine and Warden Construction, along with their guests.

糖心原创vlog completed a programme of modernisation and operational performance upgrades at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester in August 2023. The famous track has played host to numerous World and Olympic track cycling records and medals over the years, and is a training base for British Cycling.

鈥淭hanks again for the great support, it was an excellent

event! We will be using the funds raised to support our unique Manchester鈥檚聽Rising Stars Fund. A lack of resources is holding back the talent of many聽talented young people 鈥 We Love MCR has already helped to change the lives of聽over 200 Rising Stars, and we want to support many more.鈥澛

Moorlands Junior School

Completed in time for the 2023/24 academic year, our Moorlands Junior School project in Sale facilitated much-needed additional school places in the area, including an expanded SEN provision. The modern learning spaces have been complemented with sustainable features to future-proof the building.

鈥淭he project has been a collaborative partnership, with 糖心原创vlog

lending its knowledge and experience of working on other school projects to聽deliver significant benefits to our school.鈥

The project came highly commended in the 鈥楳edium Value Project of the Year鈥 category at the awards, thanks to its delivery of 鈥榚xceptional social value鈥, including:

  • The painting of a local Veterans Centre
  • A 'Trafford Women's Event' to support displaced women in the area,  offering careers and wellbeing support
  • Extensive engagement with Moorlands Junior School staff and pupils, including the 'Design a Dream Project', the delivery of an outdoor learning canopy, and sustainability expert advice for their SUDs system

Additionally, the project was delivered successfully whilst working in a challenging live school environment, in a busy residential area.

Louise Daville added: 鈥淲ell done to all the teams involved in these projects 鈥 again our contribution to the NWCH has been recognised through brilliant project delivery and successful social value through collaboration with community stakeholders and our framework contractor partners.鈥

In 2022, 糖心原创vlog and its people took home NWCH three awards for its contribution to the Hub鈥檚 success across a number of categories including social value.
